The omni-directional MKH 8020 is ideal for recording large and small sound sources, for a “Decca Tree” or for use in an OSS “Jecklin Disk” array. As it does not suffer from a proximity effect, it is also a good choice for close-miking. If the acoustic ambience is right, this microphone will provide very impressive recordings. The extra octave at the bottom end makes the MKH 8020 perfect for recording pipe organs, grand piano and acoustic double-bass.Featuresonmi-directional pick-up patternmodular designwide frequency response 10 to 60.000 Hzsymmetrical transducer with 2 backplates providing extremly low distortionextremly low inherent self-noiseaccurate directional patternnon reflective Nextel coatingIdeal for stereo and surround recordings, as an M microphone and for ambienceDelivery IncludesMicrophone head MKHC 8020XLR module MZX 8000Microphone clip MZQ 8000Windshield MZW 8000User manualAluminium transport caserTechnical DataTransducer principle (Microphone) RF condenser microphonePick-up pattern omni-directionalFrequency response 10 Hz – 60 kHzSensitivity in free field, no load (1kHz) 31 mV/Pa (- 30 dBV/Pa)Nominal impedance 25 OhmMin. terminating impedance 1000 OhmMaximum sound pressure level (passiv) 138 dB SPLEquivalent noise level 10 dB(A)Equivalent noise level weighted as per CCIR 468-3 21 dBPhantom powering 48 V +/- 4VCurrent consumption 3,3 mAAudio output XLR-3M balanced, transformerless, floatingDimensions 19 mm diameter, lenght 74 mm (41 mm excluding XLR module)Weight 55g (25 g excluding XLR module)
